Welcome to No More Heroes, a site to celebrate the extraordinary activities of a few modern day heroes.
It’s easy to say that there are no heroes anymore in the days of remote warfare and global homogonisation but we are here to argue otherwise. Now we can infer hero status upon ladies and gentlemen from many other walks of life. Personally I have a particular interest in the physicists and mathematicians who push the boundaries of scientific research. Following closely behind are the other categories, sportsmen and women, military heroes, governmental idealists and reformers, supporters of the arts and artists and finally those who perform selfless charitable deeds.
Of course it’s a slightly subjective subject and I make no apologies for that, this is a personal view but I cannot see why any of the characters listed here are in any way controversial. Ghandi was a figure of some annoyance to the British Raj at the time but now everyone looks back at him as the peaceful revolutionary that he was.
